What to remember

1

Participants have different levels and needs.

2

Give extra support to those who need it.

3

Offer advanced options for those who are ready.

In any group, participants have different experience levels and learning needs. Some have facilitated many workshops before. Others are complete beginners. Differentiating means adjusting your approach. Give extra explanation or support to those who need it. Offer more advanced options for those who are ready. You can do this by having different levels in an activity, by pairing experienced people with beginners, or by offering optional extra tasks.
