What to remember

1

Inclusion starts with you — check your own assumptions.

2

Ask people what they need instead of guessing.

3

Make participation possible, not just allowed.

Inclusion is not a checklist. It is an attitude. It starts with checking your own assumptions and biases. Do not guess what people need — ask them. Make sure participation is truly possible for everyone, not just theoretically allowed. This might mean changing the pace, offering different ways to participate, or adjusting the physical space.
