What to remember

1

Non-formal education is learner-centred — the participant is active.

2

The facilitator creates the conditions for learning.

3

Reflection is a key part of non-formal education.

In non-formal education, the learner is at the centre. The facilitator does not give lectures. Instead, they create activities where people can experience, reflect, and learn from each other. After every activity, there is time for reflection: What happened? How did you feel? What did you learn? What will you do differently next time?
