What to remember

1

People from different countries see the world differently.

2

Intercultural learning means understanding these differences.

3

In Deaf youth work, you meet many cultures and sign languages.

When people from different countries and cultures meet, they bring different values, habits, and perspectives. Intercultural learning means becoming aware of these differences, respecting them, and finding ways to work together. In Deaf youth work this is very common — you meet people who use different sign languages, come from different backgrounds, and have different experiences of being Deaf.
